The Workout: 2 Supersets for Upper Body Strength

Superset 1

  • Flat Dumbbell Chest Press
  • Single-Arm Dumbbell Row

Superset 2

  • Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press
  • Chest-Supported Reverse Fly

How to do it:

Alternate between the two exercises within each superset. Rest 45–90 seconds between sets. Complete 3 or 4 rounds of each superset. You’ll hit every major upper body movement pattern in under 30 minutes.

Chest Press

  • Lower the dumbbells under control to maximize chest stretch
  • As you press, think about squeezing your biceps inward to engage your chest

  • Start with elbows slightly tucked to follow a natural path
  • Press the biceps toward your ears for a strong top position

Reverse Fly

  • Keep your chest pressed into the bench
  • Lead with the elbows — think “out”, not just “up”, to target rear delts
